No set schedule for the next two weeks or so, but people in Columbia better text me so I can see them. Who is even around?

Today is my last day and it's already 4pm
By some miracle of God, I think I may be able to pack everything. It will be over the 50 pound weight rule. But it will fit.
But still. My stomach feels crazy today. I can’t believe my summer in Japan is over! Bizarre.
Per usual, my room seems to become the most...

Friday July 26, 2012
Well it’s noon on Friday and I have no plans for the next couple hours. This is a very strange feeling, since Fridays I usually teach in the mornings and then tutor Megumi right afterwards.
But alas, my internship is ending and suddenly I have free time. So of course I haven’t done anything this morning. But MAYBE IF MY SISTER WOULD ANSWER HER PHONE FOR ONCE, that would be...

‘…he knows me. I am graven on the palm of his hands. I am never out of his mind. All the knowledge of him depends on his sustained initiative in knowing me. I know him, because he first knew me, and continues to know me. He knows me as a friend, one who loves me; and there is no moment when his eye is off of me, or his attention distracted from me, and no moment, therefore, his care...

I covered an Open House English class (the classes I usually teach at the other church) for Hannah Iverson this morning. Turns out one of the women had gone to Washington DC before about 10 years ago. After some conversation we figured out she had visited a friend in Ellicott City and then to Columbia (“Columbia!!? Yes I went there. It has big mall!” HA)! Which is of course so crazy...

I don't remember a time before sweating
Too much bike riding and not enough air conditioning.
And apparently Hannah and I are in a competition with her house to see if we can make it without turning on the AC. I don’t know why, but we are. I’m sweating so much just sitting here.
So Hannah and I went to Tokyo tonight with a group of people to a lantern festival. That itself will have it’s own post. What is better is that after waiting for the trains to not be jammed we traveled back towards Oyumino and took tons of different trains and transfers and waited lots…..and eventually got stuck in Chiba city with no more trains to take. There is a more complicated...

This Past Week: Because I'm bad at posting lately
This past week has been great. busy. tiring. humid. a test of patience.
Monday, Hannah and I went into to Tokyo for a final visit before she heads back to the US on the 16th. She’s been an incredible host to me and has taken me on lots of adventures, small and big, which has helped me have fun side-activities to look forward to. SO on Monday we saw the giant crossing street at Shibuya,...

Some how we figured out that she knows you. You told me once in high school that all Koreans know each other, but this is ridiculous.

Happy Independence Day!! Let's eat Korean food.
Today was not especially American or anything, but still. Team stuff this morning, tutoring and then Hannah and I went to Megumi’s house for lunch. Her parents made kick-butt Korean food and stuffed us to the brim. We had Samgyeopsal, which was incredible. Megumi’s parents are also incredible as they are so welcoming and great to spend time with. They are missionaries….so...
